The GP-led West Essex Clinical Commissioning Group (WECCG) will take over the role of NHS North Essex in April 2013 and wants to involve local people in shaping future health services.
Dr Rob Gerlis, Chairman of WECCG, said; “We are seeking volunteers of all ages and backgrounds with an interest in the NHS – people who want to do something meaningful to improve health services and make change happen”.
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers with an interest in the NHS - people who want to do something meaningful to improve local health services and make change happen.
We welcome people at different levels of involvement including those who are interested in hearing about plans and sending back their comments.

Something to say?
We welcome all your comments, although we would hope that there are few occasions when you would need to complain. All of these help us to understand your experiences about the services we are providing. If we are failing you in any way, we want to try and improve and if you think we are doing well, we would like to feed that back to our staff.
You can contact us by e-mail on comments@westessexpct.nhs.uk or by phone on 01279 827163.
GP surgery groups
Many of our GP practices have user or friends groups. Some of the groups help the GPs in making decisions about changes to the practice or help gain patients views. Others help raise money for equipment, or a combination of both. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer at your local surgery or helping fundraise, please contact the practice manager at your local surgery or local group.
Consulting with you
The services we provide are your services and should work in a way that suits you. We have a duty to consult with you on any changes to local NHS services.
We will use our website as one way of letting you know what services we are consulting on and how you can take part. We will also let you know the outcome of our consultations. Click here to find out about our consultations.
